VETERINARIANS

 

Dr Clive Lamond, B.V.Sc (Syd) Principal Veterinarian


A graduate of prestigious Sydney University in 1984, Dr Lamond has worked in rural practice and done locums in 3 states prior to setting up this Clinic in 1990. He is a member of the Australian Veterinary Association, and has worked within the industry promoting ethics and community service.
Married to Katherine and with 4 young children, he is committed to making this veterinary practice an enjoyable place for families to visit. Clive was raised on a farm and nurtured animals from a young age including infant kangaroos, pigs, sheep ,cattle, horses, chicken, dogs and cats. Clive works Monday morning and evening. Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday and Friday mornings.

 

Dr Pradyumn Vij, Bsc. B.V.M.S


Pradyumn is a 2006 graduate from Perth's own Murdoch University, the best Veterinary school in Australia and one of the 6 most prestigious Veterinary Schools in the World. Pradyumn has had experience working at Singapore Zoo and worked within small practices in the UK, Sydney and rural WA before coming back to practice in Perth.
He most enjoys performing surgeries and emergency cases. Pradyumn puts an emphasis on working up cases as much as possible; educating clients. He grew up with 2 vocal cats a female Calico – “Minou” and a male Burmese “Koko”. Pradyumn works Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and fortnigthly Sunday.


Dr Jeneane Power, Bsc. B.V.M.S


Having always dreamed of being a vet, Jeneane completed a 2 year tafe degree and worked as a veterinary nurse before completing her degree at Murdoch University. After graduating in 1999 she spent the first year working in the country. Moving back to the city enabled her to concentrate on her passion working with small animals. She is a caring and compassionate vet who simply loves animals. You can rest assured that Jeneane will look after your pets as if they were her own.
Married with three young boys, Jeneane has a German Shepherd called Jazz. Jeneane works fortnightly Sunday.

   
 

VETERINARY NURSES

 Eren Arthur, Practice Manager and Senior Veterinary Nurse





Eren is a qualified CERT IV registered Veterinary Nurse graduate, completing her studies in 2001 at Bentley Tafe.
Eren has a caring personality and is very compassionate when it comes to helping animals and their owners. Prior to her nursing career, Eren volunterred at the Swan Animal Dog Haven and Kanyana Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre. Eren started the Dog Hydrotherapy Rehabilitation Centre back in 2003. Since then she has gone on to train Nurses at the centre in the field of rehabilitating patients. Eren has a cat called Kirsche, a chook called Miss Penny and fish.

 

 

Peta Cross, Veterinary Nurse, Puppy Pre-School Instructor and Hydro Therapist

Peta is a qualified CERT IV registered Veterinary Nurse graduate, completing her studies in 2009 at Bentley Tafe. She is keen to continue her studies in the near future and go on to complete a Veterinary Nursing Diploma. Peta's many other interests with animals has led her to become a qualified Dog Groomer, which she graduated in 2008. Peta plays many vital roles at the clinic; puppy pre-school instructor and Hydro Therapist at our "The Dog Paddle" centre. Peta has 3 dogs, a staffy called Chili, 2 scottish terrier's called Clayton and Maggie, a bird called Frankie, a cat called Bruiser, rabbits and fish.

Sam Dwiar, Veterinary Nurse and Hydro Therapist

Sam is a qualified CERT IV registered Veterinary Nurse graduate completing her studies in 2009 at AVT. Samantha is also a Hydro Therapist at our Dog Paddle Centre. Prior to Sam's employment at Ocean Reef Veterinary Clinic she had been a long standing client, bringing her pet's Bailey the border collie x, Diago the labrador and Oscar the Burman cat to see Dr Clive Lamond for check-ups and treatment. Sam's family also consists of fish and crazy crabs.

 
Katherine Lamond, Administrator


The Lamond family have a cat called Charlie, a dog called Shanti, guinea pigs, chickens and fish.
Previously a teacher and accountant, Katherine draws upon her experience in these professions and considers herself very lucky now to be able to work with people and pets. Katherine Lamond, with husband and veterinarian Clive, opened Ocean Reef Vet Clinic in 1990 and has been involved in the management of the practice in between raising four children and looking after a multitude of family pets.
