Routine Desexing - Cats, Dogs, Rabbits and Ferrets [cats and dogs should be starved from 9pm the night before surgery and we advise desexing at 6 to 8 months of age, ferrets should only be starved from 6am the day of surgery and rabbits should not be starved at all but please bring with rabbits a days supply of normal food]
Paralysis Tick Treatment, Aftercare and Prevention - Ixodes Holocyclus is prevalent in the local area. See our newsletter section for more information on this deadly parasite. Treatment is never simple and prevention, early detection and avoidance are preferred. If your pet unfortunately becomes paralysed seek treatment immediately. Advanced Surgical Procedures - Dr Matthew Tay is a member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in small animal surgery www.acvsc.org.au. He has a particular interest in orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery. The hospital is equipped with its own autoclave for sterilising, anesthetic machine, patient monitoring devices and separate surgical theater and lighting for the most complex of procedures.
In House laboratory - we can do on site blood testing for immediate results or send samples away for more in depth testing. We also offer in house cytology [cell identification] screening of skin lumps.
Critical Care Anesthesia - when it counts we have the in house lab, fluid pumps, pulse oximeter [to monitor heart rate and blood oxygen concentration], ECG, breathing monitors and heating systems to keep your little one safe during surgery.
Dentistry - from routine scale and polishing to complex extractions the clinic is well equipped to give your pet it's smile back.
Boarding - we offer on site "safe and sound" boarding in runs or stainless steel cat cages with walks provided four times a day.
Grooming - The clinic is proud to have Country Clippers on site in our dedicated grooming salon with hydrobath, commercial blow dryer and fully trained groomer Nicole Jones at your service. Nicole grooms Tuesday and Thursdays with appointments essential. The hospital also provides a cat clipping service [note this is performed in the hospital treatment room as all cats need sedation].
Radiology - the hospital has its own high powered condensor discharge unit which provides excellent quality x rays for diagnosing musculoskeletal, thaoracic and abdominal pathology.
Geriatric Care - The hospital has a Seniors' Club with generous discounts and free baths for the golden oldies.
Puppy Pre School - Jo Dunmall runs an entertaining and educative puppy pre school on Thursday evenings at the hospital. Please ring Jo on 0418 450 218 for more information.

Retail - The waiting room has a variety of Science Diet and Hills Prescription diet food, flea and tick products, medicated and soap free shampoos and conditioners, collars, leads and harnesses.
