Dr Ian Bairstow BVSc
Veterinarian
Ian graduated from Queensland University in 1976.
He began his veterinary career in a small animal practice in Western Australia. Three years later he returned to Queensland and for the next 4 years worked in various mixed animal practices in SEQ, including a year in Kingaroy.
In 1985 he moved into his current practice. In 1986 the practice moved into bigger premises, and then in 2002 made a final move (and a name change) into its current purpose built premises.
Ian enjoys spending his spare time with his family. Through them he is involved in basketball, ferrying children around to matches, both locally and interstate, and at various times over the years coaching local teams.
Ian currently owns 1 dog, Faith, a Hungarian Vizsla, and 3 ex-clinic cats, Connie, Pixie and Tiny.

Debra Marsh
Veterinary Nurse
Practice Office Manager
Debbie has been vet nursing since way back in 1976, working with Ian since 1985 and in this practice since 1981.
These days you'll mainly find her in reception where she enjoys talking to our clients and their pets, some of whose families she has known for well over 20 years.
Debbie is currently owned by an 18 year old year old brown Burmese cat named "Millie", a 15 year old Siamese X named "Mr Blob", and "Wendell", a 9 year old black Domestic Shorthair.
After being "dogless" for about 6 months, the time finally became right to welcome a new member into the family and in September 2009, along came "Basil", a black and tan Miniature Long Haired Dachshund puppy. He is very much is enjoying turning the household upside down.

Corrine Curtis
Veterinary Nurse
The youngest member of our team, Corrine started at CRVS in February 2009, fulfilling her longtime ambition to become involved in the Veterinary field.
She completed Cert II in Veterinary Nursing at the Animal Industries Resource Centre in 2009, and is currently studying Cert IV in Vet Nursing, also through the AIRC.
Corrine is learning all facets of vet nursing, so you may meet her at reception or talk to her on the phone.
She is also training in surgical nursing and has a particular interest in dental procedures.
Corrine is the proud owner of a Shih-Tzu named "Mitzi", a Pomeranian named "Amber", and 2 birds, "Pedro", a Cockatiel, and "Cooper", a little whistling Canary.

Hannah Kingshott
Veterinary Nurse
Hannah joined us in April 2010.
She began her veterinary nursing career in 2001 after completing a Bachelor of Science. After 5 years of nursing her career took a slightly different turn when she joined a Veterinary Pharmaceuticals firm as a sales person.
But the pull of life in a more "hands on" veterinary field proved too strong and in 2008, Hannah began studying to become a Vet at the University of Queensland. Currently in her third year of study, Hannah cannot wait to be a qualified Vet, but is very happy to be back nursing while she completes her studies.
Obviously full time study doesn't leave a lot of time for work, but you will see Hannah on Saturday's and she will also be filling in when Debbie and Corrine take well earned breaks.
A love of animals is a pre-requisite for most working in the veterinary field and Hannah is currently owned by two very spoilt fur kids, "Hugo" an Irish Setter and "Heidi" a German Shorthaired Pointer.

Louise Metcalfe-Taylor
Louise began working with us in May 2010, filling in on Wednesdays and also organising and running our new Puppy Preschool..
Louise has a long history of working with animals. She was involved with the RSPCA for many years, as State Foster Care Co-ordinator. Louise and her team administered a program that helped rehabilitate sick, injured and/or maltreated animals before they were rehomed within the community.
Eager to broaden her knowledge, Louise then began work as a Veterinary nurse and also began organising and running Puppy Preschools.
Maternal duties intervened, and now with her son growing up, Louise is keen to get back to work, albeit in a part-time capacity.
So if you drop into the clinic on a Wednesday, remember to say “Hi” to Louise. Her cheery outgoing nature will certainly make you feel welcome.
