Geoff has been a vet in the Shoalhaven for over 35 years. He began his career at the Gerringong practice and moved to Berry in 1976. Geoff has a particular interest in large animal reproduction and pioneered many techniques that are commonplace today. He has travelled to China and South Africa to harvest embryoes from boer goats and just about everywhere in NSW harvesting cattle embryoes.
Geoff continues to provide an invalueable service to the Berry and surrounding community.
Dr Anthony Bennett BVSc Hons I
Veterinarian
Areas of Interest: General Mixed Practice-All Species, surgery, equine medicine, endurance horses, wildlife, exotic pets.
Anthony moved to the shoalhaven in 2004 when he took up a full-time position at the Berry Vet Clinic. He initially lived and worked the family farm in Nowra and has subsequently moved to Berry. Anthony has a keen interest in small animal surgery and medicine and also bovine preventative medicine. Anthony is also a head endurance vet and attends the local rides as well as championship rides outside the district. Anthony enjoys the challenge of mixed practice and loves being an active member of the vibrant Berry community.
Alison Clark BVSc
Veterinarian
Areas of Interest: small animal medicine and surgery, soft tissue surgery.
Alison has recently joined the BVC team on a part-time basis. Alison has extensive experience in small animal medicine and surgery, previously working on a permanent part-time basis at Kiama and Culburra vet clinics. Alisons compasion and experience is highly valued.
David Ball BVSc
Veterinarian
Areas of interest: small animal medicine and surgery, wildlife and avian medicine, horticulture and environmentally friendly farming techniques.
David joined the team as a locum in 2007 and has continued to work in the clinic for 4-5 weeks per year on a relief basis. David has previously owned the very successful Wollongong practice, "Cannon and Ball" with his previous business partner, Dr Mike Cannon. David has now retired from full-time work and he and his wife have settled in Berry.
David provides immeasurable experience and knowledge and is a highly valued member of the team.
Rebekka Makille
Veterinary Nurse (level 4)
Areas of Interest: Grooming, Dental Tech.
Rebekah joined BVC in 2004 and has been the head nurse at the clinic since. Bec completed a certificate II in animal studies at Bankstown Tafe and then a certificate IV in vet nursing at Yallah Tafe. Bec is currently completing a Bachelor of Agriculture (with a major in Animal Production) at CSU Bathurst, via distance education.
Rebekahs expertise in grooming and her regular puppy preschools (held each month at the clinic) are a valueable component of the clinic.
Trish Rosa
Veterinary Nurse
Areas of Interest: Grooming, Dental Tech.
Trish joined the BVC in 2007. She is formely trained as a dairy farmer and completed her apprentership in Victoria under the tuition of her late father on the family dairy. Trish moved to the Shoalhaven in the 1990s to be with her husband Kevin, and they have since raised 2 lovely boys, Patrich and Lachlan.
Trish has, and continues to work, on several dairy farms in the region as a relief milker.
Lois Bonner
Tafe Student
Areas of interest: equine studies, grooming, dentistry.
Lois is studying for her certificate 4 in veterinary Nursing at the Nowra Tafe, where she has previously completed a certificate II in animal studies. Lois works on a part-time basis at the BVC.
